"Bio-mechanical refixation of the meniscal anchor points to prevent rapid joint deterioration."
Anatomical Pathology
A meniscal root tear is a catastrophic biomechanical failure where the meniscus pulls away from its bony anchor. This is equivalent to removing the entire meniscus and leads to rapid bone-on-bone arthritis. Our technique involves drilling a trans-tibial tunnel and using high-strength sutures to pull the root back into the bone, restoring its shock-absorbing function.

Is it a serious surgery?
Biological incorporation of the meniscus into the bone is a slow process; the first 6 weeks of protected weight-bearing are critical for long-term success.
